Nadagogo Sakedokoro

灘五郷酒所とは

The restaurant opened after renovating the sake brewery of Kenbishi Sake Brewery, which has a history of over 500 years. Events and food pairings based on the theme of "seasonal, local, compatibility, and fermentation" will be held with sake from all 26 breweries in Nada Gogo, which boasts the "universe's largest sake production." This is an experiential community spot that promotes the appeal of sake through a variety of content.

  • MAGIC SAKE PAIRING

Nada sake is made to be enjoyed with food. Its rich umami enhances the depth of any dish, transforming familiar flavors into something new. Experience a MAGIC SAKE PAIRING you can only find here.

  • Creating Connections Through Joy

At Nada Gogo Sakasho, we cherish the connections between people. We introduce guests who meet on the shrine grounds, and raise a toast together with a cheerful "Go! Go!" Our goal is to be a place where joy sparks meaningful encounters.

  • Welcome to the Sake Shrine!

Step through the sacred rope (kekkai) at the entrance and discover illuminated sake tanks and a sacred mirror enshrining the gods. The U-shaped counter is a pathway leading to the gods' chamber, representing a shrine precinct. The flags lining both sides are hand-painted by local artist Hisashi Matsumoto, depicting the eight million gods of Japan. Enjoy enough sake and you might just feel their presence... (maybe!)

  • The Magic of Warm Sake

Sake is a magical drink whose flavor transforms with temperature. At Nada Gogo Sakasho, we offer a warm sake (kanzake) experience where you can enjoy it at your preferred temperature. Discover how aroma and taste shift with warmth — and enjoy the conversations that naturally unfold while your sake heats up.

  • HAPPY SAKE Wagon

Inside the Nada Gogo Sakasho grounds, our cheerful staff become SAKE Attendants, rolling the HAPPY SAKE Wagon through the lanterns of all 26 breweries — bringing pairing menus and sake recommendations right to you.

  • Sake from All 26 Breweries of Nada Gogo

Nada Gogo is Japan's premier sake-producing region in Hyogo Prefecture, boasting the world's highest sake output. Brewed with "Miyamizu" — a medium-hard water — Nada sake is known for its bold flavor and rich umami, once supplying 80% of Edo's sake. At Nada Gogo Sakasho, enjoy food pairings featuring sake from all 26 breweries of Nada Gogo.
