[10/10 Event] Kura Talk 001 | Enjoy a MAGIC SAKE PAIRING of IWA5 and Nada Sake with Master Brewer Masato Yabuta
The “Kura Talk” at Nada Gogo Sakejo is about to begin.
Hear from the makers.
Savor food and sake.
Make every glass even more enjoyable.
“Kura Talk” is a new series set in a sake brewery, exploring the passion and craftsmanship of the makers, as well as how to enjoy sake. Together with Nada Gogo Sakejo’s MAGIC SAKE PAIRING, you’ll discover the appeal of sake through both conversation and flavor.
The guest for this memorable No. 001 is Masato Yabuta, the IWA Toji (Master Brewer).
■ The last Toji of this brewery, at this brewery.
Nada Gogo Sakejo is the former “Uchizo” brewery where Kenbishi sake was once made. Mr. Yabuta was its last Toji.
Having inherited the long-established techniques of Kenbishi, he now works on producing IWA sake alongside Don Perignon’s former Head of Brewing, Richard Geoffroy.
This time, we will welcome Mr. Yabuta back to his former workplace.
■ The theme is “Food is the main event; sake is the supporting act.”
The techniques Kenbishi continues to preserve.
The reason a French brewer chose sake.
Sake that pairs well with food, and sake that doesn’t. The fine line between them.
We’ll hear from the maker about the water of Kobe, the rice of Hyogo, and how to enjoy warmed sake.
Enjoy a bite of food and a sip of sake as you listen.
This time, we’ll pair IWA5 and Nada sake with food, allowing you to enjoy the changing flavors through MAGIC SAKE PAIRING.
We’ll also have a Special secret sake prepared.
Discovering that glass will also be a surprise on the day.
Whether you love sake, enjoy delicious food, or are just beginning to explore sake, please join us.
“Kura Talk” is a series we will continue to develop with a variety of makers.
Please join us for its very first evening.
